Location
The estate is a 5 minute drive from the pretty port of
Yarmouth, where regular ferries run to and from Lymington. There are a host of attractions on the
Island, all within a few minutes drive including the
famous Needles, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle as
well as numerous unspoilt sandy beaches and country
parks.
The family owners of the 1500 acre estate run the
organic mixed
dairy and arable farm surrounding the estuary and live
in the manor house on the estate. Guests are welcome to
make use of the heated outdoor pool and of course the walks along the estuary. Stabling
for your own horses may also be available by prior
arrangement with the family.
The nearest pub and shop are a short walk into
Freshwater and nearby Yarmouth has some superb
restaurants. Freshwater golf club is 1 mile away with
stunning views across both the Solent and English
Channel. Be it walking, sailing, fishing or just
chilling, nothing is far away on the Island.
Finding us from Yarmouth port:
Driving off the ferry you turn right and cross the
bridge. After the bridge you reach a sharp left hand
bend and proceed about a mile up the hill. The last ¾
mile of the hill is steep with two sharp bends and at
the top of this section you turn left. (The main road
swings on round to the right). Having taken the left
turning continue along this road for approx 1 mile. The
farm entrance is on the left immediately after Ronstan
Gardens. Follow the farm track taking the right fork
where it splits, this will take you into the farmyard
and Kings Lodge is at the far end on the right.

the Lymington to Yarmouth crossing with Wightlink
